Bookmaker William Hill registers poor first half numbers

Profits before finance charges and exceptionals were down by 10 per cent to £145m for bookmaker William Hill, despite a 4 per cent rise in gross win to £516m, largely hit by poor results and the extra £5m for signing up to Turf TV, the new racecourse backed betting shop TV service.
